MNTRA Instruments

MNTRA Instruments is a Canadian developer of sample-based virtual instruments for music production and sound design. Its instruments run in the company's MNDALA software engine, which provides controls for manipulating sampled sounds into playable textures and evolving timbres. The catalogue emphasises experimental sound design rather than conventional instrument emulation.

The brand is known for themed sound libraries that draw on acoustic instruments, percussion and other recorded sound sources. Products listed on MyGear include Tenebrae, Vespera Standard, Kymera, Pripyat and Atma, alongside Ultrasonic Death Whistle and UDW X. These place MNTRA primarily in the specialist virtual-instrument and creative sound-design market.

MyGear currently lists 18 MNTRA products in stock at partner retailers, with prices ranging from £25 to £130. This positions the listed range as individually priced software instruments and libraries, spanning lower-cost additions to a production setup through to more substantial sound collections.
