Moog

Moog is an American electronic musical instrument brand known for analogue synthesizers, modular synthesis and sound-processing effects. Founded in 1953 by Robert Moog, the company played a significant role in the development of voltage-controlled synthesizers. Its Minimoog Model D helped establish the self-contained keyboard synthesizer as a practical instrument for recording and live performance.

The range includes semi-modular instruments such as the Grandmother and DFAM percussion synthesizer, alongside the Muse eight-voice polyphonic analogue synthesizer. Moog also makes software instruments and effects, including Mariana and the Moogerfooger software series, as well as cases, covers and other accessories. Its instruments are particularly associated with subtractive synthesis and hands-on sound shaping.

Across MyGear’s partner retailers, 28 Moog products are currently in stock, with prices from £56 to £3,999. The selection spans cases and bags, guitar effects and synthesizers, placing lower-priced accessories and software alongside premium hardware instruments. This breadth serves both musicians extending an existing setup and those seeking a substantial studio or performance synthesizer.
