Tech 21

Tech 21 is an American music-equipment brand founded in 1989, best known for its SansAmp range of analogue amplifier-emulating preamps. Its products include guitar and bass effects pedals, direct-recording interfaces and rackmount preamps, with SansAmp designs providing amplifier-style tones for use with amplifiers, recording equipment or PA systems.

The range spans compact pedals and larger signal-processing units. Examples include the SansAmp Para Driver DI, the SansAmp RBI rackmount bass preamp and the SansAmp PSA 2.0. The Fly Rig series combines multiple functions in compact floor units, while the MIDI Mouse provides a separate MIDI control option. Tech 21 also produces signature equipment associated with musicians including Geddy Lee and Richie Kotzen.

At MyGear’s partner retailers, currently stocked Tech 21 products range from £138 to £499 across bass effects, guitar effects, and preamps and channel strips. This places the listed range broadly in the mid-priced to higher-priced pedal and compact-preamp market, with an emphasis on tone shaping, direct connectivity and integrated performance setups.
