Danelectro Big Sitar Black Crackle

Available from Gear4Music at 938,39 €.

The Danelectro Large Sitar is a faithful reissue of the iconic Big Sitar first introduced in the 1960s capturing the unmistakable sound and visual flair that defined an era of psychedelic and experimental music. Built around the original Coral sitar shape this instrument features a full-hollow body constructed from composite plywood producing the airy resonance and natural acoustic interaction that are essential to the sitar-inspired playing experience. Finished in striking Black Crackle it blends retro style with unmistakable stage presence. A bolt-on maple neck with a comfortable C-shaped profile and familiar 24.75-inch scale length keeps the feel accessible for guitarists while the Gotoh sitar bridge creates the signature buzzing drone that defines the instruments voice. Three Lipstick pickups - bridge neck and a dedicated mini-harp pickup - each feature independent volume and tone controls allowing players to blend standard electric tones with shimmering sympathetic resonance. The result is a unique expressive instrument that rewards experimentation and invites creative exploration well beyond conventional guitar sounds.
