The Denis Wick Synthetic Cup Trumpet and Cornet Mute is designed for players wanting a more muffled and controlled tone in ensemble and solo settings. Made from durable high-impact material its built to handle regular rehearsals and performances while maintaining consistent results. The quality cork ensures a secure fit helping you keep a stable tone without unwanted movement. The cup design works by covering the bell reducing higher overtones to create a warmer more subdued sound. This gives you that familiar "smoky" character often used in jazz big band and orchestral music. Its especially useful for ballads section work or any passage where blending is key. With a quick response and easy control you can shape phrases naturally while keeping your sound focused and contained.
