Gibson 57 Classic Underwound Humbucker Classic White

Available from Gear4Music at 116,42 €.

The Gibson 57 Classic Underwound Humbucker is a vintage-inspired pickup that delivers all the soul and character of the legendary PAF design but with an underwound twist. By slightly reducing the windings this version opens up the top end giving your playing more shimmer clarity and definition while still retaining the warm rounded mids that Gibsons 57 Classics are known for. The Alnico 2 magnet adds sweetness and musicality to your tone letting chords breathe and single notes sing with detail. Double classic white bobbins give it a stripped-back look while wax potting ensures that unwanted feedback stays under control even when youre pushing your amp harder. This pickup is a versatile choice for guitarists who want vintage vibe with a bit more openness in their sound. The reduced output gives rhythm parts a chiming edge that sits beautifully in the mix while lead lines take on a clear singing quality with well-defined overtones. Perfect on its own in any position it really comes into its own when paired with a standard 57 Classic or the slightly hotter 57 Classic Plus giving you a balanced set that covers everything from smooth cleans to biting overdrive with ease.
