Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer Hand Wired

Available from Gear4Music at 292,81 €.

The Ibanez TS808 Hand Wired is a flagship take on the legendary Tube Screamer overdrive with extra versatility thanks to its design and high-end components. Capable of everything from light bluesy overdrive that helps chords or solos pop out of the mix to a powerful midrange boost for high-gain metal. The sound of the TS808 is undeniable making it a favourite of players from John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughan all the way to Kirk Hammett and Mick Thomson. The TS808 Hand Wired utilises the same central JRC NJM4558 op-amp that made the original vintage Tube Screamers so sought after with the addition of Mogami-designed oxygen-free cables for better signal fidelity and an extra 6 dB gain boost to set it apart from the standard model. This expands the familiar sound of the classic overdrive to get more distorted if you want that effect but also far more dynamic.
