The Pirastro 219381 Passione Soloist D String produces an authentic classic sound for your violin. The handmade sheep gut core produces a generally warm sound with a range of complex overtones. This diverse tone is ideal for advanced players requiring texture. The silver winding adds depth to the bass frequencies as well as providing a comfortable feel. The medium tension gauge offers the optimum balance between flexibility and playability. This D string is designed for full size violins and features a ball tailpiece end. The Passione series of strings offer a complex sound for the established musician. The strings successfully couple a warm tone with a direct response. The gut is manufactured wound and polished by hand for the most authentic feel. The strings strongly resonate and characterise your violins wood meaning each instrument gets its individual tone. With the Soloist range the strings have a slightly thicker diameter for more comfortable playability. The Passione strings sound best as a complete set producing cooperative harmonics that resonate freely with your violin.
