Premier Maple Rods

Available from Gear4Music at 17,63 €.

The Premier Maple Rods are lightweight drum rods suited to acoustic sets and intimate venues. Sitting between traditional drumsticks and brushes in terms of volume they give you a lower-output option while retaining clarity and definition. Each beater uses 16 maple rods producing a warmer sound across drumheads and cymbals than nylon or stiff bamboo alternatives. Two adjustable rubber rings let you change the articulation to suit your playing while the large plastic handles give you plenty of control over each stroke. At 430mm long with 3mm maple rods theyre a practical choice for jazz drummers exploring different timbres as well as acoustic performances where keeping your overall volume under control matters.
