The Sela 20" Ocean Drum is a friendly hands-on way to create relaxing or dramatic wave sounds ideal for meditation therapy sessions classroom settings and anyone exploring texture-based percussion. I like how its beech wood frame holds two different heads a natural skin on one side and a synthetic head on the other because it gives you two clear tonal characters to switch between. Inside a mix of metal and plastic beads moves as you tilt the drum creating everything from gentle surf noise to storm-like swells. There?s also a closable opening so you can adjust the bead amount if you want more volume or a softer response. And if youd rather use it as a regular drum you can tap the heads with your fingers hands or mallets for extra variety. Its a simple creative tool that encourages exploration at any level.
