Available from Gear4Music at 69,85 €.

The Thomastik Peter Infeld Orchestra Double Bass D String 3/4 is built for players who want a dependable mid-focused string that works well in both orchestral and jazz settings. It delivers a centred tonal core that helps your line stay clear in a busy mix whether youre bowing longer phrases or shaping more expressive passages. The spiral rope core keeps things stable under the fingers so you get a familiar feel each time you pick up the bass. The chrome winding gives the D string a smooth response thats easy to control especially when youre moving between soft bow strokes and more assertive attacks. With medium tension sitting at 28.8 kg it finds a comfortable balance between projection and playability. Its made for a vibrating string length of 104 cm and works on instruments up to 110 cm making it a practical fit for most 3/4 double basses.
