Yamaha Keiko Abe Signature MKAW-09 Yarn Wound Mallets Extra Soft

Available from Gear4Music at 85,84 €.

The Yamaha Keiko Abe Signature MKAW-09 Yarn Wound Mallets are designed for advanced marimba players seeking a full resonant sound from the instruments lowest register. Made in close collaboration with Keiko Abe these extra soft mallets feature large yarn-wound heads that bring out the deep singing tones of the bass bars with clarity and projection. Their balanced weight allows you to draw out every nuance of sustained passages without overpowering higher ranges. The birch shaft provides a firm reliable grip while maintaining a comfortable reach across the keyboard. Ideal for expressive solo works and orchestral settings the MKAW-09 mallets are especially suited to pieces that demand warmth depth and tonal definition in the lower range of the marimba.
