Neumann TLM 103 Studio Set vs Shure SM7B: which should I buy?

Buy the Shure SM7B if keeping costs down is your priority; choose the Neumann TLM 103 Studio Set only if an audition justifies the extra spend. The supplied best new prices are £349 and £1,110 respectively.
The Shure SM7B is the lower-cost choice here, leaving £761 more in your recording budget. That makes it the sensible starting point if you have no strong preference already—but a lower purchase price alone doesn’t establish which microphone suits your voice or setup.
