Olivia Rodrigo is an American singer-songwriter from Temecula, California, who started as an actress on Disney shows. Her 2021 debut single "drivers license" broke streaming records, and her album SOUR won three Grammys, including Best New Artist. GUTS (2023) and its world tour cemented her as one of pop's leading voices, and in 2025 she headlined major festivals including Glastonbury. Her music blends confessional pop balladry with pop-punk and 1990s alternative rock, driven by distorted guitars and raw vocals. Rodrigo writes on piano and guitar and often plays both on stage, switching between intimate keyboard ballads and loud, guitar-heavy rock songs with her all-female band.
