ART

ART (Applied Research and Technology) is an American audio-equipment brand established in 1984. Its range includes microphone preamps, channel strips, compact mixers, dynamics processors, DI boxes and patch bays for recording and live-sound systems.

The brand is known for valve-based microphone preamps and practical signal-routing equipment. Products such as the Pro Channel II combine preamplification and dynamics processing, while the Splitcom Pro, P16 balanced XLR patch bay and dADB dual active DI box address connection and routing needs. Its mixer range includes compact microphone mixers and rackmount stereo models.

ART occupies an accessible to mid-priced position in the audio-equipment market. Products currently stocked by MyGear’s partner retailers range from €35 to €949, spanning inexpensive utility devices through to more substantial recording and mixing equipment. The selection centres on tools for building and connecting studio and live-sound setups rather than a single product category.
