Big Fat Snare Drum

Big Fat Snare Drum specialises in accessories that sit on drumheads to alter their sound without replacing the head. It is known for dampening pads that reduce overtones and produce a more muted response. Its range includes the Original, Steve’s Donut and Quesadilla designs, alongside Snare-Bourine models that combine dampening with tambourine-style jingles.

The brand occupies the drum-accessory end of the market rather than the complete-instrument segment. Products currently listed by MyGear’s partner retailers range from £17 to £139, covering individual pads and multi-piece packs. Different sizes accommodate snare drums and toms, while variations in shape and construction offer different approaches to dampening and added percussion texture.
