Chalklin

Chalklin is a British percussion brand specialising in mallets and beaters. Its range includes implements for timpani, vibraphone, glockenspiel, bass drum, gong and tubular bells, covering both tuned and untuned percussion.

The brand is known for instrument-specific mallets with different head materials and hardnesses. Examples include chamois-leather and sewn-felt timpani mallets, soft vibraphone mallets, Pyraline glockenspiel beaters and dedicated gong mallets. These distinctions give its catalogue a focus on the particular playing requirements of individual percussion instruments.

At MyGear’s partner retailers, Chalklin has 93 products currently in stock, priced from £28 to £119. Listings span hand percussion, orchestral percussion, and parts and spares. Within this selection, the brand occupies a specialist mallet-and-beater position rather than the market for complete percussion instruments.
