EMG

EMG is an American manufacturer of guitar and bass pickups and onboard electronics. It is particularly known for active pickups, including the 81 and 85 humbuckers and SA single-coil models, while its range also includes passive pickups. Its products serve players replacing existing electronics or assembling customised instruments.

The catalogue covers individual pickups, matched sets, loaded pickguards and controls such as the SPC Presence Control. Artist-associated products include the Zakk Wylde pickup set, Steve Lukather SL20 system and Geezer Butler pickup range. Tom Morello is among the musicians documented using EMG equipment.

On MyGear, EMG sits within Parts & spares, with 64 products currently in stock at partner retailers and prices ranging from €26 to €361. This spans lower-cost electronic components through to pickup sets and loaded replacement systems, positioning the available range around instrument modification rather than complete guitars or basses.
