Fender Custom Shop

Fender Custom Shop is Fender’s specialist guitar-making division, established in 1987 in the United States. Its instruments include versions of established Fender designs such as the Stratocaster, Telecaster and Jazzmaster, alongside limited editions and artist-associated models.

The division is known for period-specific specifications, custom options and deliberately aged finishes. Its Time Machine instruments revisit historic Fender designs, while finish treatments such as Journeyman Relic, Relic and Heavy Relic offer differing degrees of simulated wear. Fender Custom Shop also distinguishes between Team Built instruments and Masterbuilt guitars made by individual master builders.
