Hokema

Hokema is a German maker of kalimbas and related melodic hand-percussion instruments. Its range includes the B5 and B11 Melody kalimbas, the Twin Kalimba and electro models such as the B11 Melody Electro. It also supplies instrument cases and tuning accessories.

The brand is particularly associated with the sansula, which combines a kalimba with a membrane-covered resonating frame. Models such as the Deluxe Sansula and Basic Melody Sansula sit alongside its conventional kalimbas, making tuned tine instruments the central focus of its catalogue.

The Hokema products currently stocked by MyGear’s partner retailers range from £20 to £249 across hand percussion and cases and bags. This selection spans accessories and smaller instruments through to higher-priced sansulas and electro kalimbas, rather than a broader range of drums or percussion hardware.
