Kawai

Kawai is a Japanese musical instrument manufacturer founded in 1927, best known for its acoustic and digital pianos. Its range includes upright and grand pianos, digital instruments for home use, portable stage pianos and accessories such as stands and pedal units.

Piano action design is a longstanding focus of the brand. Kawai is known for incorporating composite materials into its acoustic piano actions and for using wooden-key actions in selected digital piano ranges. Its CN and CA series include cabinet-style digital pianos, while the ES series offers portable instruments with optional matching stands and pedals.

The Kawai products currently stocked by MyGear’s partner retailers range from £55 to £3,713, spanning accessories through to higher-priced digital pianos. Models represented include the CN201, CN301, CA501 and CA901, alongside stands and pedal units for ES instruments. This selection serves learners, home pianists and performing players; Kawai’s wider acoustic piano range extends beyond the scope of these listings.
