Rotosound

Rotosound is a British musical-instrument string brand founded in 1958. Its range includes strings for electric, acoustic and classical guitars, alongside bass strings in roundwound, flatwound and nylon tapewound constructions. The brand also offers accessories such as capos.

Rotosound is particularly known for its bass strings, including the Swing Bass 66 roundwound range, Jazz Bass 77 flatwounds and Tru Bass 88 nylon tapewounds. Its guitar catalogue includes Roto nickel electric strings, British Steels and Tru Bronze acoustic strings. The SH77 Steve Harris signature set is a long-scale Monel flatwound bass set in gauges 50–110; Peter Steele is also documented as a Rotosound user.
