SOMA laboratory

SOMA laboratory is an electronic musical instrument brand known for unconventional synthesizers, effects processors and sequencing devices. Its range includes the LYRA synthesizers, PULSAR-23 drum machine, COSMOS Drifting Memory Station and Ornament-8 sequencer, alongside guitar effects such as the Harvezi Hazze distortion pedal.

The brand is associated with its “organismic” approach to instrument design, emphasising interaction between sound-generating elements and hands-on performance. Products such as LYRA and PULSAR-23 reflect this approach, while COSMOS explores looping and the manipulation of recorded sound. These instruments place SOMA within the specialist experimental electronic music market.

On MyGear, SOMA laboratory spans synthesizers, guitar effect pedals, and cases and bags, with 53 products currently in stock at partner retailers. Prices range from £14 to £10,000, covering accessories such as spare cables and protective covers as well as specialist instruments and processors. This breadth means the lowest-priced items are accessories rather than an indication of entry-level instrument pricing.
