Synergy

Synergy is a guitar amplification brand centred on a modular valve preamp system. Its range includes interchangeable preamp modules, dedicated preamp hosts, amplifier heads and combos. The modules allow different preamp designs to be used within compatible hardware, rather than requiring a separate complete amplifier for each design.

The brand is known for modules developed in collaboration with established amplifier makers, including Fryette, ENGL and Marshall. Examples include the Fryette Ultra Lead, ENGL Powerball and Marshall JCM800 modules. Its SYN-20IR range extends the modular approach to 20-watt heads and combos.

With products listed by MyGear’s partner retailers ranging from £338 to £2,232, Synergy sits in the specialist, mid-to-upper-priced guitar amplification market. The selection spans preamp modules through to complete amplifiers, so prices reflect different parts of the modular system rather than directly equivalent products.
