Thomastik-Infeld

Thomastik-Infeld is an Austrian string manufacturer founded in Vienna in 1919. Its range includes strings for violin, viola, cello and double bass, alongside guitar, bass guitar and mandolin strings. It also supplies rosin for bowed-string instruments.

The brand is particularly known for its Dominant strings, an established synthetic-core option for orchestral string instruments. Its wider bowed-string range includes Dominant Pro and Dynamo violin strings and Versum and Versum Solo cello strings, serving players with different instrument and repertoire requirements.

On MyGear, 17 Thomastik-Infeld products are currently in stock at partner retailers, priced from €7 to €191. This selection spans rosin, individual replacement strings, paired cello strings and complete string sets, placing relatively inexpensive accessories alongside higher-priced specialist strings. Listed products include Precision mandolin strings and rosin for violin, viola, cello and double bass.
