Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster RW Surf Green

Available from Gear4Music at €2,703.45.

The Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster RW in Surf Green is a USA-made reissue that captures the look feel and sound of an early-60s original with impressive attention to detail. Its alder body and gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish deliver the lively resonant character players expect from a classic Strat while the Surf Green finish and mint green pickguard give it that unmistakable vintage appeal. Its the sort of guitar that instantly feels familiar if you love old-school Fender styling and response. A trio of Pure Vintage 61 single-coil pickups serves up bright articulate cleans woody mids and the glassy snap that made the Stratocaster a staple of blues rock indie and pop. The 1961 "C" maple neck and 7.25" slab rosewood fingerboard keep the playing feel authentic while vintage-tall frets make bends easier than youd expect from such a traditional setup. Add in the period-correct synchronized tremolo bent steel saddles and vintage-style Deluxe tuners and youve got a guitar that balances collectible vintage style with dependable modern quality.
