Maximum impact. Made for the hard-hitting Verdi Requiem. The Vic Firth Tom Gauger Fortissimo Bass Drum Mallet features a large round head and thin shaft for loud full impact. Save this one for the epic pieces. Developed by Tom Gauger of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Vic Firths bass drum mallet combines a seamless round felt head with a tapered maple handle. This provides a deep dark sound while maintaining a lightweight feel.
