Is the Shure SM7B worth buying for a home studio?

The Shure SM7B is worth considering if you specifically want a dynamic studio microphone and its £349 best new price fits your budget. It is not automatically the best choice for every home studio.
The SM7B is a dynamic studio microphone, so start by deciding whether that is the type you need rather than buying on reputation alone. Your recording source, room and existing equipment should guide the decision.
