Origin Effects

Origin Effects is a British effects-pedal brand established in 2012. Its range includes compressors, overdrives, boost pedals and designs that recreate aspects of amplifier tone and response, with products for both guitar and bass.

The brand is particularly known for its Cali76 compressor range, which draws on the UREI 1176 studio compressor, and its RevivalDRIVE pedals, which explore valve-amplifier-style overdrive. Other designs include the DELUXE55 Tweed Recreation, MAGMA57 Amp Vibrato & Drive, Halcyon Gold Overdrive and DCX Boost Tone Shaper & Drive. The Cali76 range also includes dedicated bass compressors.

With current partner-retailer prices on MyGear ranging from £233 to £449, Origin Effects sits in the premium effects-pedal market. Its catalogue centres on compression, drive and amplifier-inspired sounds rather than broad multi-effects processing.
