Sugar Bytes

Sugar Bytes is a German music-software brand whose range includes virtual instruments, audio effects and MIDI sequencing tools. Its products focus on electronic music production and sound design, with an emphasis on rhythmic processing, modulation and generative composition.

The brand is known for tools such as Effectrix 2 and Looperator, which arrange effects into sequenced patterns, and Thesys, a MIDI step sequencer. Other products include Nest, a modular MIDI environment; Graindad, a granular audio processor; and WOW 2, a creative filter effect. Synthesisers such as Unique and Obscurium broaden the range beyond effects and sequencing.

At MyGear’s partner retailers, Sugar Bytes currently has 18 products in stock, priced from £85 to £457. This places the listed range among paid specialist music-software tools, spanning individual instruments and effects rather than physical studio equipment.
