Cherry Audio Lowdown Bass Synth

Available from Gear4Music at 29,40 €.

The Cherry Audio Lowdown Bass Synth is an accurate plug-in emulation of a classic monophonic bass pedal synthesizer. Used extensively throughout the 70s and 80s on records spanning everything from prog-rockers Rush and Yes to the more pop-oriented Genesis and The Police the Lowdown captures perfectly the power and character the original hardware presented. Created in combination with Mark Barton (MRB) the room-rattling sound and the dual oscillator Hz/Oct scaling design stands out from other synths of the time pioneering a sound that still maintains its character and charm even to this day. Using proprietary component-level analysis and modelling the Lowdown injects the exact tone and response of the hardware counterpart with exceptional accuracy. The constant-beat oscillators girthy 24dB/Oct ladder filters oscillator detuning and octave level are all presented with unrivalled accuracy to deliver the signature warmth and power of the original. Contemporary producers looking to inject their sterile modern digital productions with vintage character will look to Lowdown. No matter if youre producing progressive rock synthwave or indie rock Lowdown can do it all.
