The Gibson Custom 1963 Firebird V Maestro Vibrola Heavy Aged is a stunning recreation of an iconic design from Gibson?s golden era. Finished in Antique Frost Blue and treated with the Murphy Labs heavy ageing process it has all the character vibe and feel of a road-worn vintage original. The neck-through mahogany body and medium C-profile neck provide incredible sustain and stability while the rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets adds a smooth responsive playing surface. Every detail from the banjo tuners to the nickel hardware has been recreated with period-correct accuracy for an authentic experience. At the heart of its tone are a pair of Firebird Alnico 5 mini humbuckers that capture the crisp articulate chime and punch that made the original so distinctive. The Maestro Vibrola bridge adds expressive shimmer and vibrato without sacrificing tuning reliability making it a joy for lead work and chords alike. Hand-wired controls with vintage audio taper pots allow for smooth dynamic tone shaping giving the guitar a huge range of character. Complete with a Gibson hardshell case this Firebird is a true players instrument with the spirit of 1963 in every note.
