The Gibson ELEV8 Treble Pickup is a powerful modern humbucker designed to deliver bold focused tone without sacrificing clarity articulation or dynamic response. Designed for the bridge position it combines an Alnico 8 magnet with custom-gauge wire and an average DC resistance of 10k. This marks Gibsons first use of Alnico 8 within its pickup range providing plenty of punch and authority while retaining the musical response required for expressive riffs chords and lead playing. A tight controlled low end makes the ELEV8 particularly well suited to high-gain sounds drop tunings and aggressive palm-muted parts. Even as gain levels increase the ELEV8 is engineered to preserve note definition and dynamic sensitivity helping intricate passages remain focused while heavily saturated rhythm sounds retain precision. Four-conductor wiring provides additional flexibility supporting coil splitting and advanced switching configurations for access to brighter more cutting sounds alongside the pickups full humbucking voice. The ELEV8 is wax potted to support reliable performance and features contrasting zebra bobbins for a clean understated appearance. Combining modern output with extensive tonal flexibility its a versatile choice for players looking to take Gibson humbucker tone into heavier contemporary territory.
