An extended response reaching 18 kHz keeps the upper frequencies open and clear without introducing unwanted harshness.The figure-eight pattern captures sound at the front and rear while strongly reducing pickup at the sides helping separate neighbouring studio sources. Its passive transformer design requires no phantom power and benefits from a low-noise preamp with plenty of clean gain when recording quieter material.
