Strymon Deco Plugin

Available from Gear4Music at 78,79 €.

The Strymon Deco Plugin is a remarkably accurate and authentic tape machine plug-in which recreates the studio workflow of classic tape machines. It goes beyond just offering their sonic signature delving into the forgotten art of manipulating these decks in the studio. Where other plugins may emulate tape machines the Deco plugin stands out as the only software that accurately replicates the timed/speed relationship between two tape decks working in tandem. This crucial relationship creates the phasing true tape flanging chorus echo and double tracking effects that were used in iconic early tracks recorded at studios like Sun Studios and Abbey Road. Now all these effects are available in one easy-to-use and incredibly convincing plugin. Deco consists of two distinct sides that combine to create a dynamic studio workflow. The Doubletracker side controls two interactive tape decks allowing you to achieve a wide range of stunning effects. From psychedelic tape flanging to syrupy slapback tape echoes you have the power to shape your sound by varying the timing relationship between the Reference and Lag decks. Its old-school craftsmanship at your fingertips. On the other side the Tape Saturation feature smooths out your tracks with the familiar compression and saturation of tape adding a touch of warmth and richness. If you crave a more distinct sound the Tape Saturation side also offers subtle or not-so-subtle tape-driven overdrive giving your music a fat and vibrant character.
