Aulos

Aulos is a Japanese wind-instrument brand best known for its plastic recorders. Its range includes descant, treble, tenor and bass instruments, alongside fifes and traverso flutes. Its recorder families include Robin, Bel Canto, Symphony and Haka.

The brand is associated with music education and recorder ensemble playing, offering instruments for beginners as well as players seeking different sizes and registers. Baroque-fingering models feature throughout the range, including the 209B Robin treble and 511B Symphony tenor. Other models include the 703W Haka descant, 533B Symphony bass, C-21 Pipit fife and AF1 Traverso Grenser flute.

On MyGear, Aulos sits within the flutes and clarinets category, with 29 products currently in stock at partner retailers and prices ranging from £7 to £475. This spans inexpensive entry-level instruments through to larger recorders and specialist flute models, rather than a range confined to school descant recorders.
