Empress Effects

Empress Effects is a Canadian manufacturer of effects pedals and modular sound-processing instruments. Its range includes distortion, delay, reverb and parametric equalisation, alongside the ZOIA platform, which combines effects processing and synthesis in a programmable modular environment.

The brand is known for products such as the Echosystem delay, Empress Reverb and ParaEq series of parametric EQ pedals. Its heavier distortion options include the Heavy and Heavy Menace, while the Bass ParaEq provides a bass-focused equaliser. ZOIA allows users to build patches from interconnected processing and synthesis modules; the ZOIA Euroburo brings that approach to Eurorack systems.

With 10 products currently in stock at MyGear’s partner retailers and prices ranging from £225 to £644, the listed range sits in the premium effects-pedal and specialist synthesis market. It spans dedicated processors for individual tasks and more open-ended devices for constructing effects and synthesiser patches.
