Slate Digital

Slate Digital is a US-based developer of audio software and microphone-modelling systems for music recording, production and mixing. Its range includes equalisers, compressors, pitch-correction tools, creative effects and mastering processors.

The brand is known for software that models analogue studio equipment, alongside processors designed for digital production workflows. Its Virtual Microphone System combines a modelling microphone with software that recreates the characteristics of different microphones. Other products include MetaTune for pitch correction, Infinity EQ 2 for equalisation and FG-X2 for mastering.

MyGear currently lists 19 Slate Digital products in stock at partner retailers, priced from £39 to £129. These listings represent a relatively accessible price bracket for studio-processing software, rather than the cost of the brand’s complete hardware-and-software systems. The catalogue also places the brand within its live-microphone category, although Slate Digital’s wider focus is recording and production.
