The Ahead 14" x 6" Black On Brass Snare Drum w/Brunson Lugs is a piece of true beauty with a legendary sound. The 14 x 6 size offers additional power and projection to the smaller shell size. This makes the Black On Brass perfect for many applications offering one brilliant workhorse of a snare. The brass shell is extremely durable and creates a coveted snare sound. Practice or performance gig or home studio the Ahead Black On Brass Snare performs. What about the hardware? The Dunnett R4 Throw-off features an adjustable lever with a quick release mechanism. This throw-off is small and lightweight allowing for quick timbre changes during performances. Additionally the Ahead 14 x 6 Snare is fitted with Brunson Lugs. These are light compact lugs created from aerospace-grade aluminium for maximum durability. They fix to the round studs which sit on the shell and compensate for any misalignment of the hoop or tension rod. The Fat Cat Dual Adjustable snare wires deliver the sensitive yet professional sound that us serious drummers crave.
