Smooth focused detailed. Meet your new favourite tool The beyerdynamic M160 Double Ribbon Microphone. Thanks to Andy Johns the M160 was one of the important factors that contributed to John Bonhams larger than life drum sound on "When the Levee Breaks". If that isnt enough to persuade you then there are even more good reasons as to why this workhorse is also a favourite of Steve Vai and James Murphy. The microphone features a dual ribbon construction. This allows you to pick up sound from both the front and rear. The M160 is just as comfortable generating warm natural sounds in a live environment as it is in the studio. Its hypercardioid polar pattern provides you with a tight focused sound with excellent rejection of unwanted off-axis sources. From aggressive roomy drums to warm intricate acoustic guitars. If you desire a microphone that will inject tonnes of vintage mojo into your productions and performances then look no further than the M160.
