The Evans 56 Calftone Tom Batter 16 Inch is ideal for drummers playing jazz orchestral and big band styles who want classic warmth without the maintenance of real calfskin. Built on a 7mil Mylar base blended with specialised fibres this head recreates the rich full tone of traditional calf while staying consistent in varying conditions. Its medium-bright character and balanced attack make it versatile for both articulate patterns and smooth rolls. The moderate sustain keeps your toms controlled without sounding choked making it easy to fit within a live or studio mix. Evans? Level 360 Technology ensures a precise fit on your shell improving tuning range and ease of setup. Made in the USA this head combines vintage sound with modern reliability for dependable great-sounding performance session after session.
