GEWA Trident Double Bass Mute

Available from Gear4Music at 21,17 €.

Give your double bass a new character. The Gewa Trident double bass mute alters the timbre of your instrument. Lots of composers use mutes in their music as you would know when you see the instruction con sordini so kit yourself out with the Trident mute and play these pieces as they were intended to sound. Play with a softer tone. Mutes dampen the vibration of the bridge affecting the high frequencies it can produce. With a mute mounted on your bridge your volume will be reduced and a more distant ethereal character created. This is perfect for more delicate sections of a composition. When a whole string section uses their mutes the difference is impressive. Make sure to have your Trident mute to hand so you can be a part of this dramatic contrast.
