The Meinl Percussion Goatskin Head 18" Hand Drum is suited to players wanting authentic feel for acoustic cultural or casual performance settings. At the heart of this hand drum is a carefully chosen goatskin head selected to give you a natural response and a tone that changes with your touch. Play softly and youll hear warm open notes; dig in a little more and the drum speaks with clear projection. The 18" diameter helps produce a fuller low end making it a good choice for group playing drum circles or solo practice. The shell is made from Siam oak a material known for its strength and balanced tonal character. It keeps the drum feeling solid without being overly heavy. Plus the scalloped frame isnt just for looks it makes the drum easier to hold especially during longer sessions. Finished in antique brown it has a traditional appearance that fits comfortably into a wide range of percussion setups.
