The Pirastro Chorda Violin A String has a classic sound with comfortable playability for the traditional musician. The gut core produces a range of complex harmonics with a warm overall sound. The heavy tension gauge on this model is ideal for musicians who have a naturally forceful bowing technique. This string is unwound for a more expressive response and a comfortable left hand feel. This model has an unknotted tailpiece end and is designed for full size violins. The Chorda series of strings offer players a traditional performance. The sheep gut core has a warm soft sound that is commonly associated with classical pieces. The majority of strings are left unwound for the most unaltered authentic tone available. These strings have a dynamic range of responses which can be utilised in both picking and bowed styles. This string series is designed primarily for 440Hz tuning which will give them their optimum responsiveness. The Chorda series is ideal for violinists wanting a traditional gut sound with comfortable playability.
