The Pirastro Chorda 15.75 Violin G String offers a traditional sound with comfortable playability. The core is crafted from sheep gut for a harmonically rich sound with complex overtones. The medium tension gauge on this model balances a versatile sound range with comfortable playability. This string is wound with copper for a more consistent feel and response when bowed. This model has a knot tailpiece end and is designed for full size violins. The Chorda series of strings offer players a traditional performance. The sheep gut core has a warm soft sound that is commonly associated with classical pieces. The majority of strings are left unwound for the most unaltered authentic tone available. These strings have a dynamic range of responses which can be utilised in both picking and bowed styles. This string series is designed primarily for 440Hz tuning which will give them their optimum responsiveness. The Chorda series is ideal for violinists wanting a traditional gut sound with comfortable playability.
