The Soundtoys PanMan 5 lets you creatively explore rhythmic auto-panning effects with a myriad of different features to add vintage and analog flair. It wouldnt be uncommon to think that panning is simply a means to an end and necessity within a mix to give instruments their own space and that should not be used for anything other than this but PanMan can offer so much more to your arrangement and emotion within a song. Opening a Pandoras Box of stereo possibilities PanMan lets you dive into rhythmic patterns with subtle to dizzying sweeps with complete dynamic control turning something mundane into creative. Create unique rhythmic patterns using the Step Editor or draw in your own customised pattern with Shape mode all while controlling targetted frequency ranges of your panning to separate lows and highs as well as introducing one of the seven built-in analog-modes for a distinctive character and saturation. A signature from one of the hardware counterparts PanMan introduces a Trigger function that lets you set the number of trigger sources it takes to move your stereo position from one to the other allowing you to create customised panning spreads depending on the tempo of the song and the arrangement. As well as having the ability to manually punch in your desired panning PanMan carries one more trick up its sleeve with a dynamic threshold to follows the feel of your music letting you perform with a huge range of dynamic range all the while PanMan changes settings within parameters depending on your audio signal making it the perfect choice for live performing musicians.
