SSL X-Limit

Available from Gear4Music at 55,27 €.

The SSL X-Limit is a versatile audio-limiting tool that allows you to increase the loudness of your tracks and buses without clipping or changing tonal balance. Take control of peaks and tame unwanted transients in the production of full and dynamic recordings so you can achieve loud mixes while retaining a sense of subtlety and emotion. Offering four distinct characteristics ranging from extremely transparent to colour and glue variable release times with auto release and a true peak and lookahead algorithm for precision processing X-Limit proves itself to be useful in a huge variety of contexts. Use X-Limit as an invisible loudness enhancer or a characterful limiter to add colour. Furthermore thanks to its intelligent algorithms X-limit boasts minimal latency regardless of settings making it suitable for tracking and live performance applications. Unique steering and ducking meters provide a powerful insight into the influence of the limiting process on your signal and provide feedback on minimising stereo degradation using channel link control. On top of this the all-in-one waveform and threshold display helps you set your threshold and ceiling against the incoming signal level easily.
