The Stagg lotus flute is a simple wind instrument that is easy to play and produces great effects. A lotus flute also known as a slide whistle is often regarded as a toy however has been used in pieces by composers such as Maurice Ravel Paul Hindemith Luciano Berio Gyorgy Ligeti and John Cage. Its easy to play - you simply blow into the mouthpiece and move the slide in and out to create smooth glissandi. This Stagg model is a great instrument for children who want to begin exploring music or for percussionists performing pieces that need a lotus flute.
