Available from Gear4Music at 11,75 €.

The Thunder Tube Drum 3.5" x 7.5" by Gear4music is a handheld sound effect instrument suited to percussion performances and creative sound exploration. Its stainless steel spring produces distinctive thunder-like rumbles when the instrument is moved or shaken letting you create atmospheric effects without any electronic equipment. Experiment with different movements to explore changes in the sound making it a fun way to introduce texture and unusual percussion effects into performances.A lightweight PVC plastic body makes the thunder tube easy to handle while the fibre sheet head works with the spring to produce its characteristic resonant effect. And with an epic lightning print across the body its appearance fits the stormy sounds it creates. Its a straightforward way to add thunder effects to music sound design classroom activities or imaginative play.
