The Vandoren 5RV Profile 88 Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece 13 Series is suited to players needing a focused controlled tone with dependable tuning at A = 440Hz. Its more closed tip opening supports efficient airflow helping you maintain a centred sound with strong control. This makes it easier to keep intonation steady especially in ensemble settings where precision and blend matter. The Profile 88 beak slightly alters the angle of the mouthpiece giving you a flatter more natural embouchure (useful if you prefer a lower profile feel). This added comfort can help reduce fatigue and improve articulation over longer sessions. Paired with a medium short facing the response feels quick and direct so notes speak cleanly without extra effort. Made from ebonite it provides a stable tonal core with consistent resistance supporting both section playing and more exposed passages.
